Every child is IMPORTANT and each one MATTERS to God!

Combining faith and fun, Lighthouse Kids strives to make Sunday the best day of our children’s week as we minister to them in His name. We want kids to be excited about knowing GOD and coming to church! So we teach them to “PRAISE GOD REAL LOUD!”

At Lighthouse Kids, children learn the foundations of God’s Word and the Christian faith that lead to a lifelong, life-changing, loving relationship with Jesus Christ. We encourage a right relationship with God and each other, so everyone knows they belong and the transition to middle school is an easier one. It’s important that all of the kids who attend or visit our program leave with great memories!

  • Our curriculum is “kid-friendly” and age appropriate.
  • For the benefit of kids in the program, our teachers, shepherds, and volunteers are dedicated and faithful in their service, committing for a season to keep consistency.
    • Teachers are our adult leaders.
    • Helping Hands are safe, caring arms that hold infants (0-23 months) and help our 2 and 3 year olds, and preschoolers learn and play.
    • Shepherds are teen helpers in the K-5th group who help make the experience super fun.
    • Volunteers are helpers like our Scripture Keeper.
  • Everyone works together to create an atmosphere where our children feel welcome, secure, and are accepted for who they are.
  • Your child will be in classrooms that are clean, roomy, well-equipped, and fully staffed.
  • Our parent/caregiver Check In/Check Out system keeps your children supervised and safe.
  • Look for special events throughout the year like fishing contests and family campouts.

What to Expect on Sunday Morning …

At the 9:00am service, there is an unattended “cry room” for parents to go with babies and toddlers (with the service streamed to the TV in that room).

Lighthouse Kids serves Infant – 5th Grade year-round ONLY at our 11:00am service September through May and our single service in the summer. On Communion Sundays (1st Sunday of every month), K-5th celebrate communion in “big church” with their families and then are dismissed (and supervised) to go to kids’ church.

Visitors check their child in with the friendly people at the main desk in the children’s area. Children who have registered in the program find their nametag on the rack and go their area.

The K-5th program meets as a big group but divided into rows by age and gender. After the lesson, they go to a classroom with their Teacher and Shepherd for age-level discussion and activities.

At the end of the service, the child is picked up by the adult they came with. They are only released to an adult with a matching tag (Infants – Preschool) or the appropriately identified adult (K-5th).

Your kids will have fun PRAISING GOD REAL LOUD!

“But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have firmly believed, knowing from whom you learned it and how from childhood you have been acquainted with the sacred writings, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.” ~ 1 Tim 3:14-15
